Absolute Adventures is run by a team of watersports enthusiasts with genuine pedigree. All of the team have been involved in watersports and outdoor pursuits since a very young age with years of experience behind them. When not working at the beach you will find them scouring the island for bigger and better rock jumps, exploring the island by kayak or surfing at St Ouens. Their lives are defined by the ocean and the outdoor environment. Their enthusiasm is catching and they can’t wait to show you around the island that they are so passionate about.
Chester is the Director of Absolute Adventures. Chester is a long time surfer and has been involved in the outdoor adventure industry for the past 20 years. Chester started Absolute Adventures in 1999 where he has built a well-respected and established company that has created amazing coastal experienced for tourists and local people alike. Chester spends most of his time on the water surfing, stand up paddle boarding and having fun with family and friends.
Sean is Operations Manager of Absolute Adventures and Business Partner to Chester. Sean has been involved in the outdoor adventure industry for the last 10 years and has worked all over the world in many different areas of the outdoor adventure industry. Sean enjoys all outdoor sports with a core background in white water kayaking. Sean loves St Brelades bay and can be found there everyday the sun is shinning.
Kevin started kayaking at St Brelades Bay towards the end of the 1960’s and although he has travelled widely in pursuit of sea kayaking the stretch of coast between St Brelade’s and Corbiere remains his favourite short paddle, a section of Jersey which he always enjoys sharing with other kayakers.A British Canoe Union Level 5 Coach he has kayaked and coached extensively in the British Isles, North America, Europe and the Arctic. He is also one of a handful of paddlers who have crossed from Jersey to England.
Louise grew up exploring the island’s rockpools, sparking a love for the ocean at a very young age that lead to her completing a degree in Marine Biology at Plymouth University. Her enthusiasm for being both on and under the water has since lead to her becoming a HSE Commercial Diver, RYA Day Skipper and, most recently, BCU Level 1 Kayak and SUP Coach. Whilst Louise has gained paddling experience in the Mediterranean, Hawaii, and New Zealand, she loves nothing more than making the most of Jersey’s incredible tidal range to explore and share the fantastic marine life that Jersey has to offer.
This ‘Absolute’ Canadian beauty has been living in jersey for nearly 2 years. He has worked in the outdoor industry for the past 5 years, instructing a range of activities from canoeing, tripping, and leading multi-day portage trips. He has worked all over the world, including English teaching in Asia and working on a cruise ship as a youth staff in the South Pacific. Jordan has a passion for travelling the world and spent the winter months travelling through Nepal, India and Sri Lanka!
Jack is a local lad who has grown up in and around the waters of St Ouen and St Brelade. He started body boarding at the age if 6 and loves nothing better than heading to Hossegor at the end of the summers when he can. He picked up waterskiing at the age of 10 and recently learnt to wakeboard. Jack spent a couple of years training with JARC (Jersey Aquatic Rescue Club) both in the pool and at the beach. He also enjoys paddleboarding and coasteering and loves nothing more than taking groups out on the water to share his passion. He has recently completed his Beach Surf Lifesaving qualification as well as his Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport.
Laurie from the coastal town of East London, South Africa,was born to be in the ocean. She got hooked on surfing at the age of 11 after getting her hands on some old surfing magazines and has not turned away since. Multiple provincial surfing representative and top beach life guard competitor Laurie came to Jersey seeking even more adventure. Having a BCU level 1 in kayaking and being a senior coasteering instructor she finds nothing more exhilarating than being with groups traversing across rocks, sea swimming, negotiating rock jumps and exploring caves because there is no better way to get up close and personal with marine life than this!
With a foundation degree in Outdoor Recreation, and currently undergoing a BSc in Sports Science, Ella is no stranger to outdoor adventures. With qualifications including BCU Level 2 Kayak Coach, RYA Powerboat, and NLPQ Lifeguard, Ella is right at home on the water. Having spent a season working for PGL in the Isle of Wight Ella brings some great experience to the team.
This awesome individual comes to us all the way from New Zealand! Dabbling in spearfishing, SUPing, mountain biking, and boating, he is right at home on the water. Now in his third season with us, Freddie is one of our expert boat drivers. Come and see him for a thrilling spin round the bay on our crazy sofas, or an exhilarating RIB trip to see the sights of our South Coast!
Homegrown Jersey produce! Growing up on the ocean in Jersey, and in the Alps, he is a true ‘Jack of all Trades’. An avid surfer, free-diver, mountain biker, fly-fisherman and snowboarder among others, outside is where you will find him at all times of year. Usually found at Secrets, Jersey remains his favorite place in summer. Equally at home in St. Ouen’s bay and frozen Alpine peaks; his passion for adventure is toxic.
