General / Booking
How do I book an activity with Absolute Adventures?
You can book with us easily through our online website, or if you fancy a trip down to the beach, our friendly team will be there ready to help! For rentals and inflatable rides, bookings must be made in person at the beach.
Are your activities suitable for beginners?
We offer loads of fun activities ranging from a more chilled stand up paddle board session, to a higher energy coasteer! Meaning all abilities are welcome to enjoy a fun-filled beach day with absolute adventures.
What should I bring to my session?
We provide all the necessary equiptment, just bring yourself a swimming costume and a towel!
Are there any age requirements?
Yes, all of our activities have age limits, most of the general activities have a age requirement of 8+. Some including kayaking, RIB blast and scenic RIB tour have a limit of 5+. With blokarting, there is an age limit of 12+ for own cart and ages 7-11 require a side cart.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
All of our vouchers are valid for 12 months and you can pick between an activity specific voucher or a generic monetary voucher depending on what would suit your recipient best. Prices are from £20 and up to £200.
Safety
Are your instructors qualified?
Absolute Adventures is owned and run by a professional and experienced team who enjoy nothing more than to share their passion for the sea and adventure with locals and visitors. Whatever experience you try, Chester and the qualified & experienced team always have your safety at the forefront of their minds.
Do I need to be able to swim?
Yes! being able to swim is an important requirement for most of our activities. But, if you still fancy taking part in activity and can’t swim, we offer blokarting which is a beach activity so everyone can still have fun!
What safety equipment is provided?
We provide different equiptment for different activities, for more hard-core activities like coasteering, we will give you helmets, life jackets and water shoes! If you are taking part in a more chilled session like paddle boarding we will provide you with a life jacket!
Are children allowed on activities?
Yes! Most of our activites are child friendly, the only 18+ activity is the Sundown kayak Tour.
Can nervous first-timers take part?
Definatly, for coasteering we offer a rookie route. Our Rookie route is the perfect beginners option to help introduce your children to coasteering. We start with a 15 minute safety briefing and then head out on the water for an hour where the group will scramble over rocks and try rock jumping too. As well as this, nervous first timers are welcome on all of our general activities, you would never have to do anything you were not comfortable with.
Weather & Cancellation
What happens if the weather is bad?
Our first priority is safety, so if our team decided that the weather conditions are not suitable then unfortunately this means we will have to cancel. But we always run our activities if it is only rain!
Do activities run in the rain?
Yes! We run our activities in the rain. This wont affect your booking as you will be getting wet in the water anyways!
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Yes, if you cancel your booked tour 10 or more full days in advance you’ll be given the option to rebook or receive a full refund. Cancelling 9-4 full days in advance you will be given the option to rebook or you can receive a credit note for the full amount that will be valid for 12 months. Cancelling 3 full days ahead of less, you will not given the option to rebook and will not receive a refund
What happens if sea conditions are unsafe?
Our first priority is safety, so if out qualified team say the conditions are unsafe, then unfortunately we will cancel our sessions.

Coasteering
What is coasteering?
Coasteering is a fun-filled adventure, involving jumping, swimming, scrambling, climbing and more. You get to explore the amazing coastline of the Jersey in this adrenaline fuelled experience!
Is coasteering in Jersey suitable for beginners?
If you are looking for a beginner session, we offer a rookie coasteering route, perfect for first timers!
What do I wear for coasteering?
We offer wetsuits and all the necessary safety equiptment, so all you will need is your costume.
How physically demanding is coasteering?
The session involves swimming, climbing and jumping. So ensuring you are a confident swimmer, a basic level of fitness should be great!
Which coasteering route in Jersey is right for me?
Depending on your ability and what you fancy, we have a classic coasteer, RIB coasteer and a rookie route. The classic coasteer involved a walk down from the beach to the rocks and the RIB coasteer offers a boat ride out to where you will be jumping! If you are after a slightly more beginner-friendly session our rookie route is perfect.
Kayaking
Can beginners go kayaking in Jersey?
Yes definitely! Out kayak sessions are great for beginners. Our very qualified instructors go over all the basics and are always close to give you a hand.
What’s the difference between renting a kayak and going on the tour?
Our kayak tours are a instructor led tour of the Jersey coastline, where as renting a kayak involves having the kayak on your own, and being able to go at your own pace.
What should I wear for kayaking?
For kayaking, we will provide a buoyancy aid. So all you will need is a swimming costume! if it’s hot we would advise a hat or some sunglasses.
Can I bring my child kayaking?
Yes! As long as the child is at least 8 years of age. Sometimes we require a child is paired with an adult, depending on what the weather and tide looks like.
Paddleboarding (SUP)
Do I need a lesson or can I just rent a paddle board?
I would advise that you book one of our SUP lessons, just to ensure you have got the basics down! But it is not required, as long as you are a comfortable swimmer.
Is paddleboarding suitable for beginners?
Yes! We offer Stand up paddle boarding lessons for people of all abilities.
What should I wear for paddleboarding?
All you would need is a swimming costume and a towel. We provide wetsuits and life jackets, but if you would like you can bring your own wetsuit.
Can me and my child share a SUP?
We do not allow two people do share single SUP’s. But, we offer Mega SUP sessions that can fit up to 6 people! These are great fun for families!
RIB tours
Which tour should I pick – the Scenic RIB tour or the RIB blast?
We suggest that if you are planning a RIB tour with young children, out RIB blast is a great choice as it’s a 30 minute fast passed ride! Our scenic Tour is a great option to, we will take you through corbiere, portlet and beauport beaches. As well as anchoring up for
Is the RIB bumpy?
Depending on what the tide is looking like on the day, our RIB’s can get a little bumpy.
Do you go to france or the offshore reefs?
No, our adventures explore the south west coast of jersey, so we go from Portlet bay to as far as Corbiere
Can I privately hire the boat?
We offer a private RIB charter that allows you and your group to enjoy an adventure all to yourself.

We offer loads of great activities that families can enjoy! This includes RIB tours, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding lessons. As well as this we od private activites, where you and your family can enjoy these adventures at your own pace!

Down at absolute adventures we offer loads of fun activities that teens can get involved in! this includes out sofa boat rides, kayaking, paddle boarding, coasteering and more!
What are the best activities for stag or hen groups in Jersey?
For Stag and hen groups, trips like our coasteering if everyone are comfortable simmer and up for a good adventure would great fun! As well as this our RIB charters involve a tour of the south west coast of Jersey, where you can stop, have some nibbles and a couple of drinks.
What are the best team-building activities in Jersey?
For team-builing, our Mega SUP’s are a great option. This involves lots of games and requires some great team-work opportunities. As well as this kayaking is a good option, we do double kayak’s, giving people the chance to work together, as well as having lots of fun!
Conversion-Focused FAQs
Can I book a private group session?
Yes, we offer private boat activities and private group adventures. This gives you the chance to enjoy our activities at your own pace.
Do you offer corporate or team-building events?
We offer corporate events, within this we run a teambuilding session 3 activity sessions and a 30 minute lunch break! Within our package we can tailor the sessions and themes to suit to your teams preferences.
Are wetsuits provided?
Yes! We offer customer wetsuits, as well as lifejackets, helmets and water shoes if you are taking part in a coasteering activity. For out inflatable rides, we do not offer wetsuits. Our wetsuits are suited for the Jersey water temperatures, to ensure you are comfortable.
Is there somewhere to change after the activity?
There are toilets dotted around St Brelades that you can change back into your dry clothes after a session.
Can spectators come along?
Unfortunately, we do not allow spectators to come along on our adventures, for most of our activities, there is nowhere to spectate from. If you would like to watch family and friends, you would have to book onto the adventure as well.
Are your activities available year-round?
We run a seasonal calendar, our activities are available from May through to September.
How fit do I need to be?
This can vary depending on what activity you are interested in, for a more physical activity like coasteering. This would include jumping, swimming, climbing and scrambling. So I would suggest having a moderate level of fitness. But, our other activities like the sofa ride or RIB tours, we would only require that you are a comfortable swimmer.
Can we take photos during the activity?
For most of our activities I wouldn’t advise bringing mobile devices with you as they would likely get wet causing damage.
Is parking available at the meeting point?
St Brelades offers parking and has two main parking lots that you can pay to park in for the duration of your activity.
How early should we arrive?
For most of our activities arrive at your given time, but for our inflatable rides arriving ten minutes early is what we ask. This gives time to get your lifejackets and head protectors on!
