Absolute Adventures is Jersey’s largest watersports & adventure centre and we’re passionate about sharing our love of island life with young people.

Activities for School Groups

We offer a number of different adventure packages to help get school children out of the classroom and embracing our incredible local environment all while building their confidence in the water.

We’ve been operating in St Brelades Bay for over 20 years and now work with every secondary school on the island and over 60% of the local primary schools. We run watersports adventure days, activity weeks and environmental awards programmes from March - October with our team of qualified and enthusiastic instructors.

SO WHAT CAN WE DO FOR SCHOOLS IN JERSEY?

Please note the prices below are for our 2023 season.

  • School Adventure Days

    Whether you’re looking to for one or two days of watersports as part of a wider residential week or if you’d just like to get out of the classroom for a day or two we offer half, single or 2 to 3 days of adventure at the beach for school groups ranging from year 4 to 13:

    Single adventure days from £52 per student (plus GST)

    Half day sessions from £26 per student (plus GST)

  • School activitiy weeks

    If you really want to see your students improve their water skills and gain more confidence in the water while having fun and trying new things, we’d recommend booking for a full activity week:

    Mid-Season: 5 full days of adventures for £195 per student (plus GST)

    High Season: 5 full days of adventures for £220 per student (plus GST)

    Suitable for school years 6 to 13.

  • 4 day Environmental Award Programme

    The John Muir Award is a 4 day programme that takes learning outside the classroom and along Jersey’s incredible coastline. We cover wildlife, conservation and environmental topics over the 4 days and include elements of community service meaning the award programme fits well alongside a lot of schools curriculums and study plans.

    The award is suitable for years 4 to 8 and costs £85 per student (plus GST).

  • Bespoke adventures

    We are happy to work with you to design a personal adventure package to suit your budget, group size or student needs

    We’re keen to make our watersports and adventures as accessible as possible so if you don’t think the other options would suit your school group just get in touch.

    Our staff have experience working with students that have social, emotional and/or mental health needs. We take students classified as SEN and are happy to partner with Healing Waves where possible to make sure disabled individuals can partake in SUP sessions alongside their classmates if appropriate.

More Information:

  • We’ve got a bunch of different activities available to fill up your adventure days and activity weeks including, kayak tours, coasteering adventures on the north and south coast of the island, Single & Mega SUP sessions, RIB tours and inflatable rides, plus beach games and coastal walks available too!

  • For school activity weeks and adventure days we typically we take groups of 16 or 24. But as we work in multiples of 8 for most activities we'd be happy to take a group of 8, 16, 24, 32 or 40. Normally 40 is the max group size we’d work with but obviously if you’ve got slightly more or less we’re happy to make it work.

    If you have a larger school group we can run a carousel day where we split them into smaller groups and rotate them through a few different activities through out the day.

  • Our calendar does fill up quite fast so if you’ve got set dates at your school for activity days or weeks, it’s best to let us know the dates as soon as possible and we can firm the details of your booking up later.

    Each September, we start taking bookings for the next calendar year.

  • The majority of our adventures run from St Brelade’s Bay. We are able to run coasteering adventures from Beauport or Greve de Lecq. Unfortunately we do offer adventures from St Aubin’s Fort.
